Ca Morlin Rosato
Made from the Raboso grape, this sparkler from Northern Italy is made in the same way as Prosecco. The result, a more intense flavour, loads of tingling bubbles, and its pink – what more could you want!
Bottle – £21.75

Devaux, Grande Reserve
Champagne, France
From the heart of the Cote des Bar in the South of the Champagne region. A classic style featuring Pinot Noir and Chardonnay made by one of the best.

100% Chardonnay goes into this bright crisp English fizz rivalling many sparkling wines from around the world.

White Wine

Torre del Falasco, Garganega
Veneto, Italy
Ripeness sets this wine apart from its neighbouring Soave. The Garganega grape shows some richness with a subtle nuttiness, a must-have with a bowl of olives and cured meats.
175ml – £3.25 250ml – £4.75 Bottle – £16.75

Alpha Zeta, ‘P’ Pinot Grigio
Veneto, Italy
Call us old fashioned, but we had to have one. From fruit grown exclusively on the slopes of the Alpone Valley. Quaffable, exciting, just right.
175ml – £3.25 250ml – £4.75 Bottle – £16.75

Il Carretto Bianco de Puglia

Shill’s, Viognier/Grenache Blanc
Pays d’Oc, France
When we were offered the change of a blend of a very ripe Viognier and fresh crisp Grenache Blanc the answer was simple -we had to buy! This wine has become a firm favourite. Excellent on its own, with apricots and almonds on the nose yet enough acidity on the palate to be exciting.
175ml – £3.50 250ml – £4.50 Bottle – £17.75

Castell de Raimat Alborinhno
Fantastic fish wine from northwest Spain. Stone fruit and zesty lemon on the nose with a long buttery finish – classy!

Tinpot Hut, Sauvignon Blanc
Marlborough, New Zealand
A Sauvignon from the heart of the Marlborough Valley in New Zealand. Fiona Tuner and her husband Hamish own 50 acres (not hectares) near Blind River. This is her flagship Sauvy. Frankly, fabulous!

Spice Route Chenin Blanc
Fantastic Chenin from the Swartland region in South Africa. The first picking fermented in stainless steel, the second picking fermented in oak and aged for 10 months. Fresh stone fruits, but with subtle richness from the oak aging – brilliant!

Bogle Vineyards, Chardonnay
California, USA
If you like oak, here it is! The grapes are grown in the Clarksburg and Monterey regions of California and fermented in 50% new oak barrels. The wine the spends a further nine months in 100% new oak barrels. The result is a beautifully integrated, rich wine with pineappley tropical fruit – wow!

Stopham Estate Pinot Blanc
Now if you think English wine is a bit of a non-starter, try this! An absolute show stopper. Where owner and winemaker Simon Woodhead found all this flavour, we have no idea. Stonking aromatics and lovely fruit on the palate. Try it on its own or with a meat platter, either way it’s very good!
Bottle – £30.00

Greywacke Sauvignon Blanc
Kevin Judd was the original Cloudy Bay winemaker – here under his own label he is developing Sauvignon to another level. Crisp clear zesty flavours give way to haunting minerality, a serious wine to savour.

Rose Wine

Alpha Zeta Rosata
Classy pale pink colour with strawberry and subtle floral hints on the nose. Refreshingly dry with vibrant red fruit character. Made from the same grape as the previous wine, Corvina here gives this delicate style when made into a Rose – awesome!

Pinta Negra Rose
Described by the maker as “Very delicate aroma, with floral and fresh fruit notes. Very refreshing acidity, which gives it lightness and liveliness.” Can’t say fairer than that!
